Greek Mountain Tea is made by steeping the dried flowers, stems, and leaves of the Sideritis plant, also known as Ironwort, Mountain Tea, or Shepherd’s Tea. The term “sideritis” translates to “he who is made of iron.” The tea is naturally caffeine free and has a flavor similar to chamomile. It’s known for its potential health benefits, such as improving digestion, lowering blood pressure, boosting the immune system, and supporting cognitive health. It is commonly found in loose leaf form or tea bags. To make it, steep the tea in freshly boiled water for about 7 minutes, optionally adding sweetener.
